Networking can be difficult sometimes – but when you have great people and free food and drinks, it makes that whole awkward introduction thing not so awkward anymore! Last night was one of the monthly Tech Tuesday nights at Kingston Station, located in the Downtown Crossing area of Boston.
For those not so familiar with the concept of Tech Tuesdays, this is an up and coming networking event, located in a few spots across the country. Those in Palo Alto, CA call it “Coupa Café,” the Kendall Square techies in Cambridge, MA brand it “Voltage Coffee,” and New Yorkers calls theirs “La Colmbe.” All of the above events take place once-a-month and hosted by local sponsors where startup companies, founders, investors, and other techies gather to mingle and discuss, well, anything really.
Tech Tuesdays was started by Ben Jabbawy, founder of Privy, the online marketing company. The gathering usually takes place on the last Tuesday of every month and starts at 5:00 p.m. and continues until whenever. Past sponsors have included Privy, Mancuso Communication Strategies, T3 Advisors, and us, CHEN PR. However, new sponsors are always welcome to help provide a few apps or drinks – you just fill out this brief form and we’ll figure out the rest at the next event. Speaking of, the next Tech Tuesday will take place on Tuesday, March 25th. You can’t miss us, we’re usually hoarding the front window-area of Kingston Station…hope to see some new faces there!
