It’s not typical for us to use our blog as a job openings/classified section – there are a few not-inconsequential sites that seem to do a solid job on that front!
But, this opportunity was shared with us by a close friend – and is so good we wanted to share it with our network. That’s especially true if you’re in the “Parent Trap” – a term we use out of love to characterize folks who’ve stepped out of the 9-to-5 lifestyle in order to have families or pursue other life commitments.
Bridgewater Associates is looking for a copy editor to play a key role in publishing its twice-daily flagship research publication, Daily Observations. During the last 37 years, the Daily Observation has grown to become the “must-read” daily analysis by thousands of investors and policy makers around the world because it shares Bridgewater’s insights into the most important developments affecting US and global economies.
Those insights do indeed carry much weight. Founded by now-legendary investor and self-made billionaire Ray Dalio, Bridgewater is the world’s largest hedge fund with approximately $150 billion in assets under management. Known as an industry innovator, Bridgewater is one of the largest and best-performing hedge fund managers in the world. In 2012 and 2013, the company was recognized for having earned its clients more than any other hedge fund in the history of the industry.
So more on the gig: perfect for an experienced editor – or a superstar who’s earlier in his or her career – this is a 30-hour/week position with great salary and benefits. And here’s what’ll be especially compelling to some folks: it’s 95% or so telecommuting-based with daily hours starting at 7 p.m. and usually concluding by 11 p.m.-ish. Great salary and benefits, too. Plus, the opportunity to grow into other, increasingly more responsible position/s is not only available – it’s hoped for by the hiring team.
So those of you with a rabidly meticulous eye for detail, outstanding proofing skills, intellectual curiosity and track record for producing impeccable end-documents, send me an email with your creds at ccarleton@chenpr.com. I’ll send you back a job description and more info about who to talk with at Bridgewater.
And, man, do I hope there are no editing or proofing problems with this post!
